Studio 421 is a custom photography studio. Photographers, Ric & Pat Walters have been creating treasured portraits for their clients in Eastern Oregon and Washington since 1990.

Because of the personal nature of our work at Studio 421, all business is conducted by appointment. In this way, we can make sure the time we spend together is uninterrupted. Typically, we are available for appointments that are convenient for our clients. This often means evenings or weekends. While a good portion of our photography is done in the studio, we also encourage location sessions and we are available for assignments that require travel.

Often one of the most important parts of the portrait process is the design consultation. During this meeting, we are able to discuss the many details that go into a fine portrait. We are able to help you with clothing suggestions as well as ideas on how to achieve the style of portrait you are after, whether it’s casual or formal, black and white or color.

After your session, another appointment will be made to view your proofs. Using our state-of-the-art projection system, we are able to show your proofs in an exciting new way. Working together, we will determine the best images from your session, then you can view any size, shape or cropping to help you better visualize exactly how your finished portraits will look. We ask that you allow at least 90 minutes for this appointment. Because small children tend to be a distraction, most of our clients arrange for a babysitter so they can devote full attention for this process. During this appointment, you will be placing your order so it is important that all decision-makers be present. Again, we will be there to help you and answer any questions you may have. We will even supply the popcorn and drinks!

Session fees vary based on the type of session and location. Prints are priced individually and there is no minimum order requirement. We accept all major credit cards, checks and cash. If you would like a printed pricelist or more information about pricing, please contact us at Studio 421.
